loved this article!
Thanks Clauwtjee
. It is very possible for you to have your own unique story. Our stories and our past usually help us by giving us the motivation to becoming a great singer. It sounds like, from your story, that you have a lot of motivation for greatness.
I’m glad that my blog posts help and I will be coming out with more posts to help you become unique
Great post Marcus, i just read that whole thing waiting on you to reply on chat lol. I definitely understand and agree with this post. If i saw that cow i would call EVERYBODY like “Yo check out this crazy looking cow!” I would love to be that cow man!
QUESTION!!!
hihi
is it unique to, to have ur own story?
cuz im from the netherlands, i hate it here. talkin to people in the u.s.a is so much better
but u know, i keep singing as a secret for my parents. so they dont know i have youtube, i do competitions etc. cuz im sure my dad thinks i cant be a singer.
me & my sis are very creative. she’s awsome in nail-art & drawing & dancing. and im very into music, but we have a problem. cuz we’re sort of very smart. we do a high level of school. and i think my dad expects somethin from us u know. cuz there will be a day with a huge fight here at home i think :S
when i was young i hear the song a thousand miles, and i learned the lyrics so quick.
and i always thought; when im older, i want to sing, i want to know how to sing.
me & my sis wrote you know little songs and recorded it with little cassette tapes xD hihi.
and when i was 12, my friends and i wanted to do a show on the school. it’s a show were you can act.
but someone had to sing, so we all made videos of songs of us, and my friends really liked my singing.
so that’s when i got really into it.
actually not many people here support me with it,on school im not a ‘cool person’, and sometimes they call me ugly.
but on the other side i think this makes me stronger, and i know that if i keep fighting there will come a thing i ever wished for.
and i know so many people want to sing etc.
i really want to know how to be more unique & create ur own style.
yea experience, but ur blogs help with it
so ur blogs rock =]!!!
I just read your post. I never thought about the word remarkable in that sense before thanks for enlightening us.
I was just reading also Clauwtjee’s comment and kinda brought back a few memories of when I was growing up. As a child I always dreamed of becoming a singer and actress. I longed to go to stage school but because my parents just couldn’t afford that I just grew up with everyone else and did nothing. I used to, though sing to every Barbra Striesand song you could sing and think I was doing a pretty good job of it too, however my Dad would often make statements like “What the heck is all that racket upstairs you are making” and that, “He could hear me from the top of the street”. Well at the age of 21 I moved over to Canada and the very first thing I did was find a good voice teacher (dreams just never seem to go away). I took lessons and really started to actually impress myself ha ha. I entered competitions in the Toronto area and won quite a few I did feel remarkable. I used to go with a friend quite often to a Korean restaurant to sing Karaoke and much to my surprise the owner asked me one day to come and take the dinner hour session as many people had been asking if I sang there on a regular basis. This really helped me overcome the negative that my dad had poured into my life. According to him, I wasn’t going to amount to much. Through all of this too I met my hubby and we actually travelled around and played in lounges and bars ( He thought I was remarkable too). At 45 I still sing, but only at home. My priorities changed cos I had 5 children and chose to be home for them but I continue to keep working my voice using and I never stopped. I still feel there are many things to learn and many things to do and I can’t wait.
In a nutshell if you never do anything to try and improve you won’t get anywhere in life.
“WE WERE CREATED TO SING”.
I am very thankful for this website and even though I am probably the oldest on it he he, it is nice to see all the young ones stepping out and daring to fulfill their dreams, and the others encouraging and cheering each other along the way. GOD BLES YOU ALL
that was a really good post. And a nice purple cow on the picture
Thank you my friend…. This was very informative…. I’m definitely following where you’re coming from… Lisheous
That was interesting reading
. I will look forward to this Friday
do you think it is more a question of age and beauty to be “remarkable” then a question of talent?
great posting!from now on i will
look in the mirrow and say to myself:I want to be able to sing a full octave above my current vocal!because this is really what ive been looking forward to
sing a full octave above my current vocal^so thank you for your posting it is really helpfull and motivationed
Oh Lynne….you are not the oldest here….it must be me. I’m 59 and just started living my dream to learn singing. Never had any encouragement when I was young…in fact my youngest brother just laughed at me when I said as a 16 year old that I wanted to be a singer…..that comment still makes my gut gets knots when I recall it….so sad to kill peoples dreams like that! Wow! Remarkable is being remark about. I think that is an incredible definition. Profound even! Thank you for this post. I feel like I received piece of the puzzle for my life journey today. I know I have. It is so funny how the universe opens up information and doors for you that will lead you to the highest level of yourself… ultimately your destiny. Focusing on a specific talent or goal that essentially motivate others and motivate them to remark good…great things about you is an incredible drive… and object to have for a life purpose. For me it places me outside of self want per se. I’m glade I read this post today, because I got what I needed out of it. I may not have been in the right mind set to receive this last week. Either way, I got it now. May even more great blessings come your way Marcus, because you shared! Today my life was enriched.
